SeaWolves Get Past Trenton, 1-0
|
In a tight tilt between the Erie SeaWolves and the Trenton Thunder, Willie Gutierrez was the deciding factor. The Erie right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. The winner was Erie reliever Bryce Beasley, now 2-2. The loser was Jose Alfonso. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the SeaWolves.
The SeaWolves got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Alex Mata. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the SeaWolves.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Gutierrez.
