The Altoona Curve had to overcome a fine effort from Harrisburg pitcher Matt Norway to win, 2-1, at FNB Field. Norway went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Curve, at 42-23, sit in second place in the Southern Division.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Curve had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the second, when third baseman Joel Blanchard hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Matt Norway and made the score 2-0, Curve. Blanchard was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"This team keeps finding a way to win," said Altoona manager Gerardo Zarco.
