Mets Need Extra Frames to Get Past Thunder
Mets catcher Ben Tucker put his stamp on his team's 10-7 win over the Trenton Thunder. Tucker was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Binghamton in the contest. The winner in relief was Lorenzo Flecha. He is now 8-4. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. The loss makes Trenton 18-46.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Tom Garrison came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Trenton pitcher John Henry, he hit a 3-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Binghamton on top, 7-6.
