Thanks in large part to catcher Jordan Randle, the Akron RubberDucks beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 6-5. Randle was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Danny Cruz snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Mike Billingsley suffered the loss. The win puts the RubberDucks at 33-32, while the Flying Squirrels drop to 27-39.

Mark DeHaven was the walk-off hero for Akron. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the RubberDucks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Randle told the Akron News.
