Chiefs Send Lehigh Valley Home with 4-2 Loss
The Syracuse Chiefs beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 4-2, at NBT Bank Stadium. Syracuse left fielder Brian O'Farrell had the hot bat. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Pete Pritchett earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Mike DeWolfe earned the save for Syracuse, his 4th.

In the first inning, O'Farrell had a 2-run home run for Syracuse. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Chiefs on top, 2-0.

O'Farrell called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
