Richmond Bats Quiet in 8-1 Loss
|
Hartford Yard Goats starter Jon Uribe had all his pitches working at New Britain Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Hartford win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The win puts Hartford at 36-30 this season.
The Yard Goats got a big hit from center fielder James LaRatta. Facing Richmond pitcher Bill Laird in the bottom of the fifth, LaRatta pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 12th home run of the season put the Yard Goats ahead, 7-0.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Uribe.
