Erie SeaWolves starter Pat Blair turned in a top-notch performance against the Portland Sea Dogs at Jerry Uht Park. The result was a win for the SeaWolves, 5-2. Picking up the save was Ryan Cardone, his 11th. Erie is now 36-31.

In the bottom of the sixth, Erie third baseman David Salmeron gave his team the lead. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Smiley hit his 6th home run of the year. Portland pitcher Mike Shearer surrendered it. With that, the SeaWolves jumped in front, 4-2.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Salmeron.
