Curve Tagged with 3-2 Loss
|
The bats were silent much of the day at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. But 24-year old shortstop Ralph Stewart produced just enough offense to carry the Fisher Cats past the Altoona Curve, 3-2. Stewart was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The win went to Manny Molina in relief, making him now 2-2. Jason Sims took the loss for Altoona. The Fisher Cats raised their record to 36-31.
Stewart broke a deadlock in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single, putting New Hampshire up, 3-2.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Stewart. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
