Flying Squirrels Pull Off Thrilling 5-3 Win in Extras
The Binghamton Mets got a superb performance from pitcher Lorenzo Flecha. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Richmond. The Flying Squirrels won the game, 5-3. Flecha threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Richmond reliever Charlie Fleet was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Cruz Mares. The loss makes Binghamton 6-3.

Richmond used a clutch hit from Luis Henad to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Flying Squirrels ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Exciting game to play in," said Henad. "Getting the win makes it even better."
