Baysox Hand Richmond 4-1 Loss
|
The Bowie Baysox picked up a win at Prince George's Stadium, knocking off the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 4-1. Starting pitcher Adrian Scudder played a key role in the triumph. Jason Bingham recorded his 9th save for Bowie. The 4th-place Baysox are 36-33.
Luis Perez had a big solo home run for the Baysox in the bottom of the third inning. With Bowie leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from Brad MacDonald, who is tied for 6th in the EL in complete games with 2, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Baysox on top, 2-0.
"Adrian was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Bowie manager Seth Dugas.
