Bowie turned a good performance from starting pitcher Josh Eliason into a 4-1 triumph over the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Prince George's Stadium. Eliason yielded no runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-1. Alex Delgado, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.
Nanni Buanoroti hit a run-scoring triple off Bryan Townsend in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Baysox in front, 1-0. Buanoroti had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Eliason.
Bowie occupies third place in the Southern Division at 37-33.
