Baysox Dismiss Mets, 4-2
|
Bowie Baysox starter Jalen Cowherd found his groove in his team's 4-2 win over the Binghamton Mets. Cowherd got the win, improving to 9-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The win makes Bowie 42-29.
The Mets had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Baysox going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old center fielder Jason Massey came to the plate. Massey hit a 3-run home run on a 0-1 curveball from Binghamton hurler Ryan Zeiher. It was Massey's 9th home run of the year.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Baysox manager Seth Dugas, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
