Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Reading Fightin Phils take on the Trenton Thunder.

The Reading Fightin Phils knocked off the Trenton Thunder, 4-1, in Eastern League action at FirstEnergy Stadium. Reading pitcher and Johnson City, Tennessee, native Joseph Woodley had an outstanding performance. Their 28-42 record puts the Fightin Phils 5th in the Southern Division.

Reading took a 2-1 lead on Bobby Delgado's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Delgado hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Trenton pitcher Adam Redel visibly frustrated.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Trenton manager Melvin Slosar.
