Mets Capture Extra-Inning Win
|
Binghamton Mets starter Anthony Jones was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Akron RubberDucks, 4-3, in 10 innings. The second-place Mets sport a record of 34-36.
Chris Pongratz came through with a big-time hit for Binghamton. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
In postgame comments, Pongratz said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
