Altoona and Richmond duked it out and the Curve came out victorious.

Left-hander Danny Forney mesmerized the Richmond Flying Squirrels while leading the Altoona Curve to a 3-0 victory. Forney yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. Jose Gonzalez earned the save for Altoona, his 4th of the year.

Ryan Druck, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in stolen bases with 23, had a direct impact on the outcome. Druck contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Altoona up, 2-0.

"Bottom line," said Richmond skipper Fernando Melendez, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The Curve raised their record to 45-26.
