The Trenton Thunder beat the Akron RubberDucks, 7-4, at Canal Park. Trenton second baseman Mike Ratliff had an outstanding performance. He was 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jeff Tinch recorded the save, his 10th. The Thunder now have a mark of 31-42.

Trenton used a timely hit from Danny Correa to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunder ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Correa.
