Ramon Mejia, who is tied for 8th in the EL in innings pitched with 96.2, propelled his team to victory over the Altoona Curve. The final score was 9-3, Hartford. The winning pitcher was Mejia, now 10-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. Bras Canavarro was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.

The Yard Goats got a big hit from designated hitter Dario Nunez. In the bottom of the sixth, Nunez smacked a 2-run double off Altoona pitcher Ken Harden. It was his 8th double of the season. Suddenly, the Yard Goats were ahead, 2-1.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Mejia.

Hartford is now 50-25, Altoona 46-29.
