Altoona Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
In a low-scoring clash between Altoona and Akron, pitcher Danny Forney was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Curve win. Altoona reliever Noah Cirbus picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Jeremy Bess was saddled with the loss. Altoona now sports a record of 47-29.

The decisive blow was delivered by Fred Trent in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremy Bess to win the game for Altoona. The home crowd went nuts.

"Danny had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Altoona manager Gerardo Zarco.
