The Akron RubberDucks picked up a win at Canal Park, dropping the Erie SeaWolves, 5-1. Malik Williams was the difference-maker. The RubberDucks go to 46-30, putting them second in the Southern Division.

Pat Martyak had a big 3-run home run for the RubberDucks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Akron leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Carlos Acevedo and swatted a home run to left. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the RubberDucks ahead, 5-1.

Akron manager Ted Allen praised his team's "businesslike approach."
