IronPigs Get 4-2 Win Versus Syracuse
|
Lehigh Valley pitcher Greg Dahlgren did his part in helping his team beat the Syracuse Chiefs, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Eric Patterson nailed down his 4th save. The defeat makes Syracuse 16-10.
Alex Villarreal took Syracuse hurler Ian Vick deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the IronPigs on top, 4-2. In all, Villarreal had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Greg knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Lehigh Valley manager Bryce Bissinger.
