Baysox Go Down to Defeat, 3-0
Harrisburg and Bowie got after it at FNB Field.

In a low-scoring game between Harrisburg and Bowie, pitcher Chris Wells was excellent. The Harrisburg right-hander helped his team knock off the Baysox, 3-0. The winning pitcher was Wells, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Matt Arnett recorded his 11th save for Harrisburg.

Harrisburg took a 2-0 lead on Matt Jenkins's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Jenkins hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bowie pitcher Denny McMurtry visibly frustrated.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Jenkins. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."

The setback makes Bowie 46-29.
