In a low-scoring contest between the Reading Fightin Phils and the Erie SeaWolves, 27-year old left-handed pitcher Joel Olave proved to be the difference. The Reading left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Fightin Phils win. In 7.2 innings, Olave surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Eric Patterson collected save number 2.

Reading used a timely hit from Darius Tyler to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fightin Phils ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Olave after the game.

Reading now sits at 46-30, while Erie falls to 45-32.
