The Reading Fightin Phils were defeated, 4-0, by the Altoona Curve at FirstEnergy Stadium, even though German Moncivais pitched well for Reading. By defeating Reading, the 5th-place Curve improved to 35-41.

Altoona used the hitting of Jadon Harper to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Curve on top, 1-0. For the game, Harper had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Makes our job easier," said Harper, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
