RubberDucks Pull Off Thrilling 6-3 Win in Extras
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at People's Natural Gas Field.

The Akron RubberDucks picked up a win at People's Natural Gas Field, knocking off the Altoona Curve, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Akron was right-hander David Benitez. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The RubberDucks are now 43-35.

Akron used a timely hit from T.J. Martino to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the RubberDucks ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Martino.
