Fightin Phils Beat SeaWolves, 6-3
|
The game between Reading and Erie is in the books, despite a little rain.
Reading Fightin Phils starter Miguel Rivera pitched a strong game against the Erie SeaWolves at Jerry Uht Park, leading the Fightin Phils to victory, 6-3. The save went to Mike Ruiz, his 10th this season.
In the top of the sixth, the Fightin Phils took the lead, 2-0, when 23-year old catcher Jorge Minchala drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Miguel set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Reading manager Daniel Rapp.
Reading now owns a record of 32-46.
