Thunder Use Late Rally to Win
In a tight contest between the Trenton Thunder and the Portland Sea Dogs, Chris Williams was the determining factor. The Trenton left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-0 win. Trenton reliever J.P. Van Nostrand got the win, raising his record to 3-10. Mike Sherwood was tagged with the loss. The last-place Thunder bumped their record to 29-49.

Abraham Mendoza took Portland hurler Mike Sherwood deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Thunder on top, 3-0. In all, Mendoza had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We're rolling right now," said Mendoza. "We're playing good baseball."
