The Harrisburg Senators picked up a win at FNB Field, taking down the Erie SeaWolves, 8-4. Starting pitcher Steve Johnson was a big reason why. Johnson yielded 4 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Chad Klausman recorded his 1st save for Harrisburg.

Jeff Shields's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 4-4. The Harrisburg designated hitter hit a 2-run single off Phil Richeson to put the Senators up.

"Whatever it takes to win," said Shields. "That's our attitude."

The Senators raised their record to 49-30.
