Aaron Sims knocked in 5 runs to help Trenton beat Hartford, 7-6. Sims produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Kirk Bross earned his 9th save in 13 chances. The 4th-place Thunder improved to 39-41.

Sims made an early impact for Trenton when he stroked his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Thunder on top, 3-0.
