Jones Delivers 6-1 Win
|
The Binghamton Mets topped the Hartford Yard Goats, 6-1. Seth Jones, who is tied for 4th in the EL with a 10 quality starts, engineered a dominant performance. Binghamton bumps their record to 52-27 with the win.
Jones pitched a complete game for Binghamton. The right-hander, who calls Manchester, New Hampshire, his home, racked up 10 Ks, while allowing just 3 hits. Yard Goats hitters could not touch his splitter -- nor any other pitch, for that matter.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Jones told the Binghamton Daily News.
