Flying Squirrels Bump Off Mets, 3-2
|
Marshall Facey, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in complete games with 5, was locked in. The right-hander led the Richmond Flying Squirrels to a 3-2 win against the Binghamton Mets at The Diamond. The Flying Squirrels improved their record to 59-22 by beating Binghamton.
Richmond took a 3-2 lead on Sean Hamm's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Hamm hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Binghamton pitcher Cesar Almonte visibly frustrated.
"I felt good even in the late innings," said Facey after the game.
