Bisons Bump Off IronPigs, 3-0
|
Buffalo got a first-rate effort from pitcher Ed Wiseman, who frustrated Lehigh Valley hitters en route to a 3-0 Bisons triumph at Coca-Cola Field. Wiseman got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Wiseman allowed no runs. The win gives Buffalo a record of 13-14.
One critical moment came in the top of the ninth, when Buffalo bent under pressure but did not break. The score was 3-0, Buffalo, with two out. Lehigh Valley had the bases loaded. But Jim Unknown couldn't get the clutch base hit. Instead, on a 2-1 fastball, he flied out.
