Late Offense Lifts Trenton to 6-5 Victory
The Hartford Yard Goats could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Nick Puckett into a win. Instead, the Trenton Thunder prevailed, 6-5. Puckett threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Trenton is now 32-50.

Trenton used the timely hitting of Ben Townsend to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Thunder on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Townsend said.
