The Binghamton Mets rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Juan Linares to a win, beating the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 4-1, at NYSEG Stadium. The winner was Linares. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Mark Pellicano. Alberto Chavez closed it out for Binghamton, earning his 9th save.

Binghamton took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Danny Perez hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Mets.

Perez attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The Mets improved to 42-40.
