The Akron RubberDucks topped the Altoona Curve, 6-4, with second baseman Matt Wescoat playing a big role. Wescoat went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the RubberDucks in the win. Alex Espinal went 9 innings for Akron to pick up the win.
