Stack Shuts Out Norfolk, 3-0
The Norfolk Tides were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Charlotte Knights and hurler Colin Stack. Stack kept the Tides confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Stack," Norfolk manager Alfredo Rojas said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 30-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 10 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Stack said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

This season, Stack has compiled a 3-2 mark, 3.38 ERA and made 5 starts.
