The Erie SeaWolves overcame a good performance by Trenton first baseman David Shamp to knock off Trenton, 12-10, at Jerry Uht Park. Shamp went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Danny Singleton in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Aaron LaBonte took the loss. Erie is now 33-49, Trenton 33-50.

Erie won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Aaron LaBonte on the mound for Trenton, center fielder Jack Childs hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing SeaWolves fans to their feet.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said SeaWolves manager Ezequiel Leon. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
