Baysox Beat Visiting Fightin Phils, 9-4
|
Marco Palacios had an impact in the 9-4 Bowie win over Reading. The 24-year old center fielder went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. The first-place Baysox have won 5 straight games.
Dan Pavlik had a big 3-run home run for the Baysox in the bottom of the third inning. With Bowie leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a splitter from Jose Leon and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Baysox ahead, 6-0.
Said Bowie manager Seth Dugas: "We squared some balls up."
