SeaWolves Lose as Mets Stage Late Rally
|
The Binghamton Mets picked up a win at Jerry Uht Park, knocking off the Erie SeaWolves, 6-3. On the mound for Binghamton was right-hander Bernardino Malca. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win over Erie, the Mets improved to 40-44.
Jason Burchell provided a timely hit. The Binghamton first baseman delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mets on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
Binghamton manager Matt Young called it "a good, solid win."
