Thunder Get Past Akron, 4-3
In a close game at Arm & Hammer Park, the Trenton Thunder edged the Akron RubberDucks, 4-3. Trenton first baseman Cris Silva stood apart with his performance. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Trenton is last in the Northern Division with a record of 31-52.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Silva hit a fastball from Jeremy Bess for a run-scoring single. The Thunder, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Silva said in his postgame press conference.
