People's Natural Gas Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Binghamton Mets and Altoona Curve.
The Mets grabbed a win, 3-2, at People's Natural Gas Field, overcoming a fine effort from Altoona pitcher Gary Spector. Spector went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The triumph puts Binghamton at 45-39 for the season.
Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Adam Mamo's at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Binghamton first baseman hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Mamo said after the game.
