New Hampshire starter Jason Norris ran into little resistance from Akron hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 10-2. New Hampshire reliever Jason Cramer was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Ivan Velez took the loss. By defeating Akron, the last-place Fisher Cats improved to 34-51.

Jen-kan Yang had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for New Hampshire. With the bases loaded and the Fisher Cats leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"We took it on the chin tonight," said losing manager Ted Allen.
