Eric Binder had a good game, but he could not keep the Richmond Flying Squirrels from falling, 7-5, to the Hartford Yard Goats at The Diamond. The Richmond first baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 in the loss. At 52-34, Hartford is in second place in the Northern Division.

Jon Coverly, the Hartford pinch hitter, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 5-3, Yard Goats. For the game, Coverly was 1 for 1, while adding 2 RBI.
