Flying Squirrels Earn Win with Late Rally
The Richmond Flying Squirrels had to overcome a fine effort from Reading pitcher Franklin Gallardo to win, 3-2, in 10 innings at FirstEnergy Stadium. Gallardo went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Richmond reliever Jamie Estrella, now 5-6. The loser was Mike Ruiz. The first-place Flying Squirrels are now 55-31, the Fightin Phils 26-59.

Michael Earnest had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the tenth for Richmond. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Richmond in front, 3-1.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Reading manager Daniel Rapp.
