Baughman, Senators Too Much for RubberDucks
|
Brett Baughman impressed in the 7-1 Harrisburg win over Akron. Baughman, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2106 draft, went 3-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Andy Cooke got the win, improving to 1-2. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 0. With the win, Harrisburg has a record of 45-41. Akron falls to 41-45.
The Senators got a big at-bat from third baseman Omar Fearson. For the game, Fearson went 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Harrisburg a 2-1 lead.
"Brett is still learning," said Senators manager Tan Timmermans. "The sky's the limit for him."
