The Trenton Thunder got a magnificent effort from pitcher Josh Smith, who kept Altoona hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Thunder win at Arm & Hammer Park. Jeff Tinch notched his 7th save in 8 chances. The Thunder now own a record of 36-53.

The Curve had few good swings against Smith, the left-hander, who threw 82 pitches over 7 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 1 hit.
