Mets Suffer 4-1 Setback
|
Conditions were not ideal but New Hampshire and Binghamton were able to put their game in the books.
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Binghamton Mets, 4-1, at NYSEG Stadium. Starting pitcher Ming-hoa Sha was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The first-place Fisher Cats have a one-game lead in their division.
New Hampshire used the timely hitting of Josh Sherman to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fisher Cats on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Sherman called the win "a team effort."
