Trenton Beats Bowie, 10-3
|
A good performance from left fielder John Badowski helped the Trenton Thunder defeat the Bowie Baysox, 10-3. Badowski was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Thunder. Ken Moody, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. Trenton is now 36-54, while Bowie is 36-54.
Had Ryan Ginsburg not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ginsburg hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Thunder.
"Good win for us," said Badowski. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
