Curve Deal Fightin Phils 3-2 Setback
|
The Reading Fightin Phils and Altoona Curve provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Reading Fightin Phils were defeated, 3-2, by the Altoona Curve at People's Natural Gas Field, even though Dan Huckaby pitched well for Reading. Chris Tapia snagged the win in relief. He goes to 7-1 on the season. Dan Huckaby suffered the loss.
The Curve got a big at-bat from right fielder Juan Ramos. For the game, Ramos went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Altoona a 3-2 lead.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Ramos. "I just want to win ballgames."
The Curve saw their record improve to 36-52.
