Yard Goats Take Tight Tangle
Hartford Yard Goats starter Bill Jones found his groove in his team's 6-5 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Hartford is now 53-37, while Richmond is 47-43.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 26-year old left fielder Craig Drake had a chance to be the hero. Richmond pitcher Dave Barth wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Drake hit a sacrifice fly. The Yard Goats had themselves a thrilling win.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Jones.
