Miller goes 3-for-3 to Fuel RubberDucks Offense
The Akron RubberDucks beat the Altoona Curve, 6-1, at Canal Park. The win was due in part to right fielder Brian Miller, who was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jason Pettus got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 7 innings. With the win, Akron pushed its record to 51-39.

With Akron leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Miller hit a changeup from Jake Marcello for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the RubberDucks ahead, 4-1.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Miller.
