Curve Suffer 3-1 Loss to Akron
|
Harvey Reyes pitched a dandy of a game to help the Akron RubberDucks beat the Altoona Curve, 3-1. At 48-43, Akron is in third place in the Southern Division.
The RubberDucks got a big at-bat from catcher Kevin Macias. For the game, Macias went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Akron a 2-0 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Altoona skipper Gerardo Zarco, "and it cost us."
