The Altoona Curve powered past the Portland Sea Dogs, 11-7, at Hadlock Field. Brendan Fry provided some of the pop. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The Curve now have a record of 40-52 with the win over Portland.

Altoona used a timely hit from Brian Kemp to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Curve ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Kemp told a Altoona Chronicle reporter that he felt "elated" after the win.
