No one was more impactful than Jon Gillow in the 10-7 Akron win over Altoona. Gillow was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Aidan Jennings snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Ken Harden suffered the loss. At 43-51, the RubberDucks find themselves in 4th place in the Southern Division.

Akron used the timely hitting of Brad Foster to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the RubberDucks on top, 10-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Ted Allen said.
